Game plot summary drafts

  • The game is about finding your identity within your head.

  • Within the levels there will be clues to your identity, the player has to find the clues within the level.

Plot  summary tips:

  • Who is the plot for?

  • What audience is going to find this captivating

  • Make it engaging write it from the player's point of view, what do you want them to see?

  • Imply the gameplay but don't depend on it.

 

Intended audience:

  • People who like a mystery.

  • people who feel lost and afraid

Plot Summary version 1

You wake up in a dark gloomy place there nothing but a light shining above, you ponder what is this place, what am I doing here, wait, what am I ?, who am I ? you see a light at the end of the tunnel you do not know what this tunnel might lead you, but there could lead you to the answers.

Pro:

  • The summary is vague enough for it to be mysterious, this is intentional, because it is a mystery game after all

Con:

  • Too vague

  • Very descriptive

  • Dosen't hint any gameplay mechanics

  • To be frank its not really that engaging.

What to improve:

  • Be less descriptive

  • Make it more engaging

  • Change the scene of the start of the game.

  • Include hints of the mechanic/ gameplay

Plot summary version 2

You wake up in a dark gloomy place, the eariness of it all fear, what is this place?, what am I doing here?, wait... I?, what am I?, who am I? then you smell a scent though your identity is nothing but a blur you feel that the scent is familiart you follow and follow it leads you to a world of vasts lands bright colours, and photographs all these look familiar you must continue on you don't know where this could take you Perhaps there could be answers.

Pro:

  • Vague enough that it dosen't really give anything.

  • It includes are of the mechanics in the game.

  • Makes it engaging.

Con:

  • Too descriptive

  • Though this one is slightly engaging than the last one its till not that engaging.

What to improve:

  • Less descriptive

  • Be more direct what I mean by this is to get to the point

Plot summary version 3

You wake up in a dark gloomy place, the eariness of it all drops a hint of fear within you, 'what is this place ? what am I doing here?, wait.....I?, what am I?, who am I? all this overflow you with fear and dread, a scent goes through your nostrils, the scent is familiar but you can't remember, you let the scent move you from this eary place you don't know what scent is, where it comes from, or oven how you recognise it but this could lead me to my identity.

Plot Brief

Plot of the game is based around the mystery behind your identityk, the game starts with the character in a dark place, the only source of ligght is above you. Then a coloured scent appears, this scent is familiar to the character but they don't how, this is where the character follows the scent as its only thing that appears to be familiar to them.
