Logo design

In Friday's lesson we learnt logo design, I personally haven't used logos at all in my project do I am intrigued to see how it goes.

There are common types of game logo styles:

  • Monograms

  • Wordmarks

  • Pictorial marks

  • Mascots

  • Combination logos

In a different module, I am currently learning a thing called a brand signature, which is a collection of logotypes, brand mark, and a tagline, our task is to create a keyword study of my games design and create a mood board based on the games similar to the games that we are creating.

This is the mood board for my logo, as you can see most of the fonts look very simplistic font style. Also, something that I have noticed is that the logos show the gameplay features e.g. in life is strange logos in a picture, one of the key mechanics in the game was to go back in time by touching pictures so that I have a precedented to how to create a logo, this was my prcoess

First I wrote synonyms based on the keywords.

Then made some sketches based on those synonyms, in the sketches, it was important for me to show the main mechanics within the logo design, which then results to....

This is the final design and the official title of the game 'belong', Similarly to the mood board the font style is simplistic but also shows of the main mechanics in the game.

My process behind the design is in Microsoft teams called logo.
