Week 3 - Dev meetings

For this week Phillip assigned us to finish the concept art before our meeting with James, So about 10 minutes before our meeting with James, before the meeting with James we had a group meeting where we showed the work and what we did throughout the week, I showed my drawings, concept art and 3D models for the trees. Patrick showed the fountain water Fountain that some of the be displayed in the game and he used some the trees that I created for my concept art, I personally quite liked it I really like the tree top of the looks quite florescent neon colour.
Phil liked all my concept work because is a wide variance for the trees he especially like the ones that were of a purple colour during the meeting, Nerice showed her concept art for the houses in the game the one in incredible detail because she said she wasn’t too sure about herself I personally thought it looked really cool, and I think of possible ideas I can do with the houses so I asked Nerice is okay that I can design the houses further she said that’s okay.
Phil said that we might have to change the narrative of the game somewhat because in Barker’s GDD he was at the game was a follow-on narrative, and we thought that would be a bit weird. The game of like that so we going to alter the narrative slightly what the narrative entails I’m not too sure is not really in charge of that part of the project also in charge of the concept art.
throughout the day I focused on creating more concept art for the plants, last week I created the trees and for my task this week was is to create concept art for plants and decent concept art of the houses that Nerice has created and then 3D model it.
When it comes to Pipeline process I sketch out ideas first and then draw them digitally on my iPad then after that 3D model the objects.

This is my drawings for the plants, they were based on the trees I created last week last week.






After that I picked the ones I like the most and then digitally sketch them on procreate the process of the artwork didn’t take very long took about two hours to create, the art work last week was mostly purple, blue and greens and I used the same colour schemes for the plants I use the colour gradient days for the trees and at the same think the plants overall I created six artworks for the plants.
In the afternoon we had a Q&A session with the Barker who is the creator of a game meat Misho and the Forrester dreams I felt that I knew what I why needed to do for the project I didn’t have any questions for, but the rest of my team did must the talks range from and mechanics and gameplay.
