In the figure drawing blog I talk about that in the video you would have a model doing different poses, but these poses or stay stagnant for a specific amount of minutes so at the start of the video it will be a minute and near the end to the video it will be 10 minutes. So the point of this exercise is to help you observe the figure and in its basic shape in a short amount of time and I wondered if I could do something similar to that effect when it comes to environments.
I wanted to draw a lot of environments in short matter time, I wanted to do this to improve my observation drawing in environments, being able to draw environments in a much quicker capacity.

As an environmental artist I have to draw concept art environments and 3D model them but for me to 3D model an environment, I would have to sketch my environmental ideas in the concept art, you have to produce lots of artwork in a very short amount of time. I want to practise on that more special with this project due to the role that I’m entering so I went on Pinterest I'm fine I'm found multiple environment pictures and started sketching them these were my results.

This is my first attempt of the environmental observational drawing did 17 drawings and these range from natural elements like rock formations to mountains to architecture and buildings. I manage the drawings into four sections so four lots of drawings or that had to be drawn within a minute four drawings would have to be done within two minutes four drawings have to be done in five minutes and four drawings have to be done in 10 minutes.

when I came to the drawing I didn't really cared too much about detail, as you can see throughout the drawings I've done I made quite a lot of mistakes when it comes to perspective lines but with the time frame I had it wouldn’t feasible for me to focus on how much detail the drawing that. I can draw in a short amount of time and hopefully this speed will help me draw my environment's in a much quicker pace, for my first time it went pretty well I pretty much focused more on the shapes rather than the detail.
This one had more architecture than the last picture, it mostly had rock formations and I wanted to continue that further, but I also wanted to look at architecture with unusual because I thought that would be productive for me too look at these shapes I suppose however compared to last environmental drawing I only did nine drawings rather than 17.

This is my third and final attempt of the observational drawing the drawings are the pictures that I picked up for these drawings are a little bit more fantastical but compared to the other attempts these ones have more nature to them.
the initial plan for the figure and environmental drawing what's to make it a habit, I would of drawn everyday but do too time constraints and my team mates needing me to create more 3D models and environmental concept art I thought it would be more beneficial that I stopped the drawings all together. Despite me not having done a lot of environmental drawing I do think it had had helped me find shapes in environments this helped me massively when it came to my environmental designs, for example it helped me a lot when it came to designing trees Because I was designing a little trees the shapes had to have a lot of variety of shapes.
