There are many reasons as to why people join

Emotional investment in the game, gameplay, and accompanying factors

Many people build communities around a game character or a studio because they feel so emotionally invested in the game.

This can include:

· Creating a fan page

· Creating subreddits

· Fan art of characters

Shared experience

There a lot of games have themes from real life, and many players look at a lot of creative media to find stories that are similar to something that you went through, showing your experience with fellow gamers created a story bond

A feeling of belonging

· From communities

· From making friends here

Why would one want to foster this sense of community

· Communities provide a social need to their participants. Members will feel belonging and shared camaraderie with their contemporaries and will naturally be drawn to your game’s community.

· Members of the community that achieve this sense of belonging are one of your best assets in proselytizing and evangelizing your game to the wider world.
